A present from a teacher who had just started his term. It had the message “Welcome to SW11” (the postcode is for Battersea where sculpture was); I thought it was so cool. I remember from time to time he would rouse us with the words that Battersea was where it was happening, not over on the main site in Kensington! It’s been 10 years since I got this book, but some pages get me more emotional than before; it’s growing on me.
